This replacement item does not include the AC adapter (socket) required for connecting to a standard wall socket/power source. This is the USB cable only. The USB cable is used to charge the internal batteries, as well as connect the meter to a PC for data uploading. Simply connect the meter to the computer with the USB cable, then open the computer software.
