Shellbach straight-bore burettes (burets) are designed with a blue line on a broader white band running vertically behind the scale to create an optical effect which makes the meniscus and line to appear to form a point. Read meniscus at the narrowest point of the blue line for best results. Scale is durable black ceramic enamel.
