These pocket-sized pens monitor heat index and wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT). Heat index is a measurement of how hot it feels when humidity is combined with temperature, air movement, and radiant heat. WBGT considers the effects of temperature, humidity, and direct radiant from sunlight. Both heat index and WBGT are critical for monitoring conditions to prevent heat stroke during indoor or outdoor activities such as factory conditions or sporting events.
